Dear colleagues,

the muon meeting in the LHCb week will take place on
Wednesday, November 29 from 14:00-18:00 in building 13-2-005.
Besides this, there will be a special muon system related presentation on
Tuesday, November 28 from 17:30-18:30 in building 14-4-002.
Rinaldo Santonico kindly agreed to report about the situation with the
Babar RPCs. Unfortunately no better time could be found for this
presentation, which is of interest for us.

Furthermore, muon meetings are scheduled for December 6+7 in Roma I.
As the dates are rather close, I would like to prepare a common agenda.

Wednesday, November 29, 14:00-18:00:
------------------------------------
- Introduction with short report from meeting with the LHCC referees,
scheduled for Monday November 27
- Short status of the new muon system software
- Discussion about the Efficiency/Purity definitions to be used to monitor
the system performance (could be moved/continued in the Rome meeting)
- Short update of testbeam results (a detailed discussion we will have in
the Rome meeting)
- Discussion of planned ageing tests and related preparations (we have to
discuss this in the LHCb week, as Seva, a key person in the tests,
cannot be in the Rome meeting)
- Short update on CARIOCAB (Filipe cannot be in Rome)
- Road map for the Muon System TDR, in particular discussion about LHCb
notes to be prepared still and deadlines.
- A.O.B (Conferences, next meetings etc.)

Wednesday, December 6, morning session:
---------------------------------------

sharing

Please let me know at your earliest convenience about contributions to the
various meetings and sessions, so that a detailed agenda can be prepared.

Kind regards,
Burkhard
